Twenty-five years after three sisters embarked on what is now Sorrelli Jewelry, owner/designer Lisa and her husband Kermit proudly watch their first-born daughter Lily take her first steps in the shoes she’s been waiting to wear.
Drawing inspiration from Polaroids and clothes of her mother’s eighties-era Brooklyn life, she became obsessed with adding an alternative, fresh approach to the collections she worked with daily.
A trip to the west coast inspired the mother-daughter pair to combine forces and launch the Sorrelli special collection, MiMi.
Named after the family’s overindulged feline, an adopted Persian cat, the design team’s premier collection embraces the grunge aesthetic with mixed metals, deconstructed silhouettes, and tattered crystal fragments.
The MiMi line will continue to build upon an urban, modern aesthetic, offering laid back and youthful elements. The future looks bright with a multitude of lines and variations on the horizon.
